Daniel Sturridge's dog stolen from Los Angeles home as former Liverpool striker makes emotional plea

Former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has sent out an emotional plea after his house was allegedly broken into and his dog was stolen.

The 29-year-old pleaded with his followers on Instagram after the incident which occurred on Tuesday.

In the 43-second video Sturridge shows broken glass where the thieves gained entry into his Los Angeles holiday home.

Throughout the clip an emotionally charged Sturridge begs for his dog Lucci to be returned.

The England international said: "Somebody has broken into the house in LA and took my dog from the house.

"Listen whoever knows who broke into my crib, I'll pay you anything.

"I'm dead serious. I wanna know who took my s***. I wanna know what's went on. I wanna know why they've took my dog!"

Sturridge also reveals bags were taken from the upstairs of his Californian home.

He added: "Something has gotta change, like how can you break into a house in LA and take someones dog? You've come into a house to take a dog. Somebody please find my dog, I'll pay anything I'm dead serious, I just want my dog back."

The adorable Pomeranian has Husky markings on his fur.

Lucci, who accompanies Sturridge on his travels, has his own Instagram page with over 2,000 followers.

The Champions League winner added the heart-rending caption: "Somebody stole my dog. I'll pay anything. I want him back."
