Former Liverpool player Daniel Sturridge has been reunited with his dog, a day after it was allegedly stolen from a Hollywood residence in which the striker was staying.
The Pomeranian – named Lucci – was found early on Wednesday morning, ABC News reported, citing Los Angeles Police.
Sturridge, 29, took to social media on Tuesday to appeal to anyone who might have information about the missing dog, and offered a £30,000 reward for its safe return.
The former England international also posted CCTV footage of three hooded men in his Hollywood residence, and another video posted by the striker depicted a smashed glass door, through which the men likely entered.
Sturridge’s emotional appeal for Lucci’s return was seemingly answered on Wednesday when Twitter user @KillaFame tagged the player in a Tweet, which featured a video of a young girl holding a dog that closely resembled the striker's Pomeranian.
The man filming the video can be heard repeatedly saying “I’ve found your dog.”
It is not clear whether or not the person who returned the Pomeranian is the one to have stolen it, nor is it known whether or not Sturridge’s sizeable monetary reward was paid for the dog’s return.
