Daniel Sturridge pleads for news of dog Lucci in emotional Instagram video after Pomeranian is stolen from LA home

Former Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has sent out an emotional plea and offered “20 or 30 thousand dollars” for the return of his dog after it was allegedly stolen from his Californian home.

The 29-year-old posted a series of videos and photos to his 3.4 million followers on Instagram after he said his house was broken into and his Pomeranian Lucci stolen.

One video appeared to be footage taken from a home security camera that showed three hooded people walking through his home.

Sturridge captioned it: “Bring him home” alongside his home address in Los Angeles.

Another video shows broken glass where the thieves gained entry to his home.

He also begged for the dog to be brought home saying: “Listen whoever knows who broke into my crib, I’ll pay you anything.”

In another video he said: “Whoever brings my dog back 20 grand straight up, straight up, 20 gs, 30 gs, whatever, bring my dog back to my house,” Sturridge pleaded.

“I want my dog back and I’ll pay whatever, it don’t matter the cost.”

He added: “Whatever it costs… you ain’t gonna get more than that anyway and if you are I’ll give you more than them.”

Sturridge also revealed bags were taken from the upstairs of his home.

He said: "Something has gotta change, like how can you break into a house in LA and take someone's dog?

“You've come into a house to take a dog. Somebody please find my dog, I'll pay anything I'm dead serious, I just want my dog back."

In the background of one video someone can be overheard saying the thieves did not take “over 300,000 dollars worth of watches.”

Sturridge told his followers that he is in the process of moving to a new home and has asked for the dog to be returned to his current address in the next two days.

Lucci, who accompanies Sturridge on his travels, has its own Instagram page with over 2,000 followers.

Police in Los Angeles were unable to confirm whether or not the incident had been reported to them.
