Daniel Radcliffe’s intriguingly varied post-Potter career is set to continue with a lead role in new FBI thriller Imperium.
According to Deadline, the ex-wizard will play a young undercover agent seeking out white supremacists who are attempting to make a dirty bomb. The character is based on Michael German, who spent years infiltrating various neo-Nazi groups.
The crime thriller will be the feature-length debut of shorts maker Daniel Ragussis, who co-wrote the script with German himself.
It’s yet another project for 26-year-old Radcliffe, who has a small role in Amy Schumer’s hit comedy Trainwreck, ahead of a very busy schedule. He’ll next be seen as Igor in Victor Frankenstein, a revisionist take on Mary Shelley’s classic horror, opposite James McAvoy. He also recently finished filming BBC drama Game Changer as the creator of Grand Theft Auto, as well as conman sequel Now You See Me: The Second Act.
He’s currently filming wilderness drama Swiss Army Man and is also attached to crime thriller Tokyo Vice, period drama Brooklyn Bridge and political comedy Young Americans.
