Daniel Radcliffe reveals which ‘Harry Potter’ characters he would play in possible reboot

The British actor who brought to life the iconic boy wizard in the blockbuster movie franchise said if he were to do it all again in the form of a reboot, he’d take on a totally different role.

“I would probably want to go with like, Sirius [Black] or [Remus] Lupin,” Radcliffe, now 32, revealed in an upcoming episode of the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast.

“Those were always the two characters that I was like, ‘They’re great,’” he added. “And also like, I’m obviously biased by my experience of filming those scenes, with those people, and they’re like some of my favorite memories.”

Pure-blood wizard Sirius Black and half-blood wizard Professor Remus Lupin were played by Gary Oldman and David Thewlis, respectively, and first introduced in the third movie of the film’s franchise, “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.”

At the age of 12, Radcliffe became an international household name as the titular character in the popular “Harry Potter” saga, based on author Rowling’s bestselling book series.

His wishes may be a long shot, though.

In January, HBO Max and Warner Bros. said in a statement, “There are no Harry Potter series in development at the studio or on the streaming platform,” although Variety reported then to the contrary that a streaming series is in “very early development” at HBO Max.
