Daniel Levy speaks out on Tottenham Hotspur's new eight-year sponsorship deal

Daniel Levy has praised AIA for their role in Tottenham Hotspur's transformation in recent years into becoming an established Champions League club.

Speaking after the announcement of a new seven-year deal with the Hong Kong-based life insurance and financial services company the Spurs Chairman also described the current period as a significant time for the club.

This summer, the north Londoners broke their own transfer record with the signing of Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon after having completed the building of a new stadium on the site of White Hart Lane.

Mauricio Pochettino also led his side to the Champions League final and Tottenham have been tipped to make further statements in the transfer market this summer.

Juventus playmaker Paulo Dybala has been linked as a shock target for Spurs while dicussions continue over Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso.

AIA's logo will continue to be printed on the shirts of the men's, women's and academy team's until the 2026/27 season.

"This renewed and extended partnership demonstrates the strength and success of our well-established relationship with AIA," said Levy.

"And underlines the positive impact we have been able to bring to AIA’s brand and business.

"We are proud to have the immense support of AIA at such a significant time in the club’s history."

Levy sees the continued partnership as another building block in the club's continued success.

He added: "I'd like to think we're going in a very positive direction and we will continue to do our very best to continue to grow, not just in Asia but throughout the world.

"As I said before we've now met the priority of building the stadium and our training facilities and now it's to continue to find ways to now only improve the commercial aspects of the club but also the football and continue to be a success."

The announcement was made as Spurs prepare to face Manchester United in the International Champions Cup pre-season competition in Shanghai.

Hong Kong-based AIA became the club's 'global principal partner' in 2017 and according to Levy the insurer plays a key role in his plans to grow an Asian audience given their links to the region.

"We shall continue to collaborate to drive the club’s and AIA’s growth in Asia," he said. "And support AIA’s commitment to healthy living in its centennial year and beyond."
