Daniel Levy's Ryan Mason quandary at Tottenham and how it ties in with Harry Kane's future

Ryan Mason is hoping he can force his way into Daniel Levy's thinking when it comes to Tottenham's next manager and it's a move that would go down well with Harry Kane.

Mason now has five Premier League victories to his names across his two caretaker spells and the 31-year-old has made it clear that he feels he is ready to be considered for the full-time job at Spurs when the chairman makes his decision in the coming weeks. Mason is close friends with Kane and the prolific striker, who is approaching the final 12 months of his contract, has backed his appointment.

"I think we’re all behind him. We know the club is in a situation where I spoke about getting some of the values back. I feel like Ryan brings all those attributes," explained the England captain. "He’s been here through the academy, he knows what it’s like as a fan, he knows what it’s like to play here. With that attitude and that desire, he brings a great enthusiasm to the coaching role here.
