Tottenham Hotspur have condemned anyone claiming to be fans of the club who hurled abuse at protesters supporting the Black Lives Matter movement.
The peaceful protest in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, on Monday afternoon had to be cut short after a large crowd started heckling and shouting at those involved, including racist abuse.
According to reports from the Hertfordshire Mercury, those opposing the event were standing there to protect the town's war memorial after seeing statues defaced in other protests across the UK. Read here
