Daniel Levy opens up on Mauricio Pochettino's future as Tottenham boss

Daniel Levy has said that Mauricio Pochettino has his full backing to continue his role as Tottenham head coach.

The Argentinian has proven himself to be a popular figure since arriving at the club five years ago.

Pochettino has done a wonderful job of helping to take Spurs to the next level, doing so by building a fresh, young team around the likes of Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Harry Kane.

After reaching the Champions League final last term, there was speculation that Pochettino could have walked away, but will no doubt be delighted that he decided to stay and continue the good work carried out over his five years in charge.

One of his biggest fans is Spurs chairman Daniel Levy who played a key role in bringing Pochettino to north London after a successful spell with Southampton, and speaking to the press, Levy says that he has no intention of changing the manager.

He said: “We are always looking to improve the performance of the club but at the present time there is no intention of making changes to management."

If Mauricio Pochettino can continue the year-on-year performance that he has achieved since taking over Spurs, you'd imagine that his job will be fairly safe for some time yet.

After all, we wouldn't mind a serious title challenge this time around.
