Tanguy Ndombele will remain a Tottenham Hotspur player this season after a decision at board level, football.london understands.
The France international asked to leave the club this summer and Spurs have received interest from a couple of La Liga clubs in taking him to Spain.
However, football.london understands that at this late stage, unless a huge offer arrives from a club that Ndombele would also have to agree to, a decision has been made today at board level to keep the midfielder.
Ndombele has been left out of Nuno Espirito Santo's matchday squads since the pre-season friendlies as his future is resolved.
It is not the first time the 24-year-old has asked to leave the club but no offers have come in that suit the club or in most cases the player.
Now Ndombele who has still been training with the first team, will be reintegrated back into matchday squads after the international break.
In other transfer news, Spurs are expected to seal a 30m euros signing of Barcelona right-back Emerson Royal while looking to move on Serge Aurier or Matt Doherty before the deadline.
If they cannot then they would be left with the bizarre situation of having four right-backs in their first team and consequently problems with their foreign player limits.
