Levy's Kane transfer promise revealed
Tottenham's new boss Nuno Espirito Santo has been told the club have no intention of selling their star man Harry Kane this summer.
This is despite strong interest from Manchester City, who are willing to pay upwards of £100million to prise Spurs' most valuable asset away from the club this summer.
The Daily Mail reports that Daniel Levy and co will keep on resisting offers for Kane, unless bid of around £150m is made from Pep Guardiola's side, but no business is expected until the Euro 2020 campaign concludes.
Paratici hints at Mourinho problem
Newly-appointed Director of football (DoF) Fabio Paratici may have taken a dig at former boss Jose Mourinho during the official unveiling of new boss Espirito Santo on Wednesday.
The former Juventus DoF fought hard to bring the Portuguese coach to the club, but eventually got the green light from Levy earlier this week to complete the appointment of the former Wolves boss.
During the unveiling, Paratici used the words 'adaptive' and 'adapting' when speaking about what the Portuguese manager will bring to the club. It seemed like a slight dig at Espirito Santo's fellow countryman Mourinho.
Espirito's Santo's first interview analysed
After the appointment of new boss Espirito Santo on the Wednesday, Tottenham's in-house media spoke to the ex-Wolves boss about a number of different subjects.
One point that was noticeable during his first interview was his eagerness to use young players at the club. The 47-year-old has been known for giving young players the crack of the whip.
This was evident when looking at the chances Espirito Santo offered young striker Fabio Silva at Molineux last season.
"Our philosophy is not only about me, it's about staff, the coaching staff, you, me, everybody around here – it's simple, we improve players, we try to make them better, to improve them every day and by that, it’s no matter which age the player is – young, old, experienced, no experience at all – it doesn’t matter," he said.
