Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has told Harry Kane that he can realise his ambition of winning trophies without leaving the North London club.
Kane sits atop Erik ten Hag’s summer wish list, with League Cup winners Manchester United searching for a clinical finisher to turn them from top-four challengers into title contenders.
Kane has just over 12 months left on his current deal and so may come cheaper than in previous years, albeit would still fetch a substantial fee.

Tottenham are currently without a trophy since 2008 but Levy believes Kane can help the club to end that barren run.
"He can absolutely win a trophy at Spurs," Levy told the Cambridge Union. "But being a legend is also important. The fact that he’s top scorer of Tottenham Hotspur – he’s making history. I hope one day that there is a statue of Harry Kane outside our stadium."
Kane is England and Tottenham’s all-time top scorer and will be eyeing Alan Shearer’s record 260 Premier League goal record in the coming seasons having already reached his double century this year.
However, the Three Lions captain turns 30 this summer and is yet to lift a trophy in his career. Many are viewing the upcoming window as his final transfer crossroads should he wish to move to a team with greater chances of silverware success.
Tottenham are at risk of missing out on the Champions League next season, currently sitting in fifth. A finish outside of the top four would mean, without a move, the striker will be at least 31 the next time he plays in Europe’s elite competition.
Bayern Munich are also said to be interested in Kane, but it is thought the attacker wishes to stay in England to try and claim the Premier League goals record - his passionate reaction to becoming his country’s all-time scorer last month detailed how he views such goal feats.
