Daniel Kinahan documentary: BBC Panorama viewers saying exact same thing after controversial programme

Tens of millions of people tuned into the highly anticipated and controversial BBC Panorama documentary on Monday night focused on 'notorious mob boss' Daniel Kinahan and his involvement in boxing.

The exiled Dubliner's bid to "whitewash his criminal past" through the sporting world was the centre of the explosive, investigative piece of television last night in one of the most watched programmes of 2021 so far.

It exposed the links between the criminal underworld and the upper echelons of professional boxing.

While most of the information was only a refresher to the Irish viewing public, many British boxing fanatics and BBC viewers were introduced to Kinahan who "as per the Irish courts, is the most notorious mob boss Ireland has seen for years".

Furthermore, "Kinahan's cartel has heaped misery on the streets of our capital through drugs, terror and murder" according to the courts here.

Mr Kinahan was one of the founders of MTK Global, a boxing promotion company that now represents 250 boxers and who were the promoters behind the Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua bout - 'the biggest fight in British boxing history' as stated by 'Gypsy King' Fury.

MTK insists Mr Kinahan cut ties with the firm back in 2017, but the Panorama show has revealed he still retains ties with the company.

And those watching were gripped and fascinated about the documentary's revelations:

Another person whose appearance people were blown away by was Irish boxing legend Barry McGuigan who viewers described as "brave" for speaking out against Daniel Kinahan.

The Clones Cyclone described Kinahan as a "dangerous man” whose role in boxing has brought an “element of terror” to the sport.

The former world champion is one of several figures from the world of boxing interviewed for the Panorama expose Boxing and the Mob, which airs tonight.

But McGuigan was the only insider who wasn’t scared of appearing on camera for the hour-long BBC special.

The boxing legend from Co Monaghan told the show: "There is no doubt that there is an intimidation effect, there is no question about that," McGuigan said.

"If we were to believe what we believe, this is a very dangerous man.

“Someone has got to look out for this sport. They really need to look at this situation very carefully, because it’s bloody dangerous.”
