Daniel Jones officially ruled out for Monday Night Football

NEW YORK _ The Giants officially ruled quarterback Daniel Jones out of Monday night's game against the Philadelphia Eagles with a high ankle sprain. Eli Manning will be starting in his place and making his first in-game appearance since a Week 2 loss against the Buffalo Bills.

The Giants also announced that tight end Evan Engram (foot) will miss Monday's game, despite making progress with his injury throughout the week. Cornerback Corey Ballantine (concussion) and tight end Rhett Ellison (concussion) were also ruled out.

Safety Jabrill Peppers (transverse fracture/back) and linebacker Chris Peace (knee) were placed on injured reserve. Linebacker Kareem Martin has been activated from injured reserve and safety Sean Chandler was promoted from the practice squad in conjunction with the Peppers and Peace transactions.
