Daniel Jeremiah has Raiders snagging draft’s top cornerback Jeffrey Okudah in Twitter mock draft

Most people expect Jeffrey Okudah is a surefire top ten pick in the upcoming draft. NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah is one of those people. He had Okudah going to the Lions at third overall in both of his first two mock drafts. But Friday he got together with his NFL.com colleague Bucky Brooks for a twitter mock draft, and things got very interesting.

With that third overall pick, it was Brooks who had the pick and Jeremiah proposed a trade with him. He had the Chargers at 6th overall and jumped up to three overall to get Tua Tagovailoa. A very plausible trade for the QB needy Chargers.

Then when the Lions’ pick came up again at No. 6, Brooks didn’t take Okudah, instead sending the top linebacker in the draft, Isaiah Simmons, to Detroit.

With Okudah still on the board, Jeremiah and Brooks both passed on him over and over. Next thing you know, the 12th pick rolled around where Jeremiah had the Raiders pull the trigger, nabbing the best cornerback in this draft way lower than he is expected to be taken.

With the Raiders going defense at No. 12, you would’ve thought they go wide receiver with their pick at No. 19, but CeeDee Lamb, Jerry Jeudy, and Henry Ruggs III all came off the board already, so Brooks has them taking Kenneth Murray who has been a popular pick for the Raiders at 19th overall.
