Sheffield United's Daniel Jebbison has been handed a rare start tonight, amid growing speculation over his future.
The 18-year-old has been the subject of interest from a clutch of Premier League sides.
On Monday it was reported that Everton have had a bid of £5million turned down. New Toffees' boss Rafael Benitez has been studying tapes of the youngster as he looks to bolster his strike force.
Whether he comes back in for Jebbison remains to be seen, but Leeds United are also said to be keen.
Tonight, United boss Slavisa Jokanovic has given the youngster a vote of confidence by handing him a start in the EFL Cup second round clash against Derby.
Jebbison made his big breakthrough last season and ironically his first-ever professional goal came in a shock win at Goodison Park.
Aston Villa and Brentford are also said to be sniffing around the striker, who is low down the pecking order at Bramall Lane after the likes of Billy Sharp, David McGoldrick and Rhian Brewster.
Blades' chief Jokanovic recently said he was considering a loan deal for Jebbison, prior to the recent interest from top flight sides.
The Serb said earlier this month: "We believe he has to be on the field, which is the only reason we’re thinking about a situation of loaning him.
“He has the quality but he needs to play games and I don’t know if I have the space for him. I believe he can go on loan.”
Jebbison has two years remaining on his contract at Bramall Lane.
