Daniel James trains with Premier League players ahead of Manchester United pre-season

Daniel James is doing everything he can to put himself in the best possible shape ahead of joining his new Manchester United teammates for pre-season.

Wales international James completed his £15m move to United earlier this month from Championship side Swansea, and will feature in the club's pre-season tour to Asia and Australia.

Ahead of the first day of pre-season next week, James has travelled to a fitness camp in Dubai with three other Premier League stars.

Known for his pace, James will offer a new dimension in attack next season, but will need to be in peak physical condition when he makes his Premier League bow.

And the Welshman got an early taste of what to expect when he joined Crystal Palace's Jeff Schlupp and former United defender Danny Simpson who was recently released by 2016 champions Leicester.

Reading defender Liam Moore was also alongside James as the group prepared for the new season at the K3 Performance camp.

James, 21, scored six goals with 10 assists in 39 appearances for Swansea in total, while he has one goal in four senior caps for Wales.

United fans will be looking forward to seeing his speed in action on the break, with an FA Cup breakaway goal against Brentford last year going viral.

James picked the ball up on the edge of his own area as Swansea defender a corner, before sprinting the length of the field with the ball and sending a powerful finish into the back of the net.
