Daniel James to Man Utd transfer latest as terms agreed with Swansea City

Swansea City have confirmed that Manchester United have agreed terms for Daniel James.

A deal has been agreed in principle with the winger passing his medical and agreeing personal terms.

The 21-year-old is now likely to join the Premier League club officially next week.

In a statement, they wrote: "The Premier League club has also agreed personal terms with James, 21, following a successful medical at Old Trafford.

"The transfer is expected to be completed when FIFA’s international transfer window opens from June 11.

"The club will make further comment once the transfer has been completed."

Manchester United quickly moved to confirm the news after Swansea's initial announcement, with an official statement saying: 'Manchester United is delighted to announce that it has agreed, in principle, terms with both Swansea City and Daniel James for his transfer to the club.

'Daniel has successfully completed a medical at the Aon Training Complex.

'Further details will be communicated once the international transfer window opens next week.'

James was given permission to leave the Wales camp on Thursday morning to complete his transfer before flying out to Croatia ahead of Wales' World Cup qualifer.
