Leeds United have made some big moves during the summer transfer window but Daniel James will not be next, despite recent speculation.
The Whites have signed the likes of Robin Koch, Rodrigo Moreno and Diego Llorente this summer but more deals could be concluded.
Here is the latest news and rumours on the future of James, who had beeen touted as the next big addition for Marcelo Bielsa at Elland Road.
Radrizzani rules-out move
Andrea Radrizzani has ruled-out a move for Daniel James in the current transfer window, despite admitting the winger is 'top of the list'.
Widespread suggestions had declared that Leeds were ready to revive their interest in the Wales international but, speaking to Stretty News, Radrizzani stated that is not the case.
“Dan [James] is on top of our list but seems he will be staying at Man Utd. There is nothing.”
£25m bid for James
Leeds United have reportedly made a transfer decision on the future of Manchester United winger Daniel James.
The Whites have been linked with the 22-year-old all summer but now it appears Marcelo Bielsa's men are stepping up that supposed interest.
Football Insider say that Leeds have made the call to dip their toes in the transfer market once again and this has come in the form of an offer for James.
That bid is in the region of £25 million, according to the report, with Leeds not happy with the several moves they have already made this summer.
But the caveat for this deal is that United must be able to sign Jadon Sancho for it to open up an exit for James.
Solskjaer stance
It's not just one source reporting the Red Devils' willingness to part ways with James.
ESPN have also reported that Solskjaer is open to allowing the winger to leave Old Trafford.
James almost joined Leeds back in the January transfer window last year but ended up signing for Solskjaer's men last summer.
What James has said about failed Leeds move
James has previously talked about the aforementioned failed move to Leeds.
"I couldn't really believe it then towards the end of January it was like 'yeah I do want to go'," he said.
“It took a while to get done and then I went there on deadline day. Leeds being close to Hull, where my family is from, was a big factor.
“I'd been at Swansea since I was 16 to 21, and those years are massive. At the time it was the right decision."
He continued: “Leeds were offering me four years. The Amazon Prime documentary shows what happened: I got there in the morning, my agent said things could go to the wire, I did all the scans and medical stuff.
“I got to Elland Road about 6pm, did all the pictures with my shirt, all the interviews, because they wanted it to go out in the morning, and then it was strange.
"It got to about 9pm and I'd signed all the papers and then it was from club-to-club. I had people texting me saying 'what's happening?' and I literally didn't know.
"It wasn't until 15 minutes to go until I thought: 'this might not happen now'.
"I ended up ringing the chairman (of Swansea) to ask him what's happening. It was all a bit crazy and then it wasn't done - I threw my phone.
“I thought it's not real. The chief exec of Leeds wasn't happy at the time, but then it was just a case of driving home. It was a very weird situation and I think it helped me in some ways."
