Daniel James' jubilant Man Utd interview as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer gives verdict on Welshman's Chelsea display

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits he's delighted for Wales star Daniel James who scored on his Manchester United debut just weeks after the passing of his father.

The 21-year-old's dad Kevan tragically passed away shortly before the winger's move from Swansea City to Old Trafford earlier this year.

James was handed his Premier League bow by Solskjaer in the 74th minute of the Red Devils' clash with Chelsea on Sunday.

The youngster made a stunning impact and final goal of a 4-0 win just seven minutes after coming off the bench.

And Solskjaer has said James will remember his dream debut for the rest of his life.

“I’m sure he will remember that for his whole life," said the Norwegian.

"He’s had a tough summer with his personal life as well and to start his career like this, I'm so pleased for him.”

On his debut goal, James said: "I don't think you can sum it up.

"To come here and score on my debut is a dream come true. Ever since I've come here I've dreamt of that and to do it on my debut is amazing."

James has now scored on his debuts for both Swansea and Manchester United while he also netted what proved to be the winner on his competitive bow for Wales against Slovakia in March.
