Daniel James arrives for Man Utd training as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer plans gruelling schedule

Manchester United new boy Daniel James will take part in his first training session on Tuesday.

The Wales youngster joined United from Swansea earlier this summer in a £15m deal.

He wasn't part of the first group back at Carrington for the start of this week but arrived for training on Tuesday morning.

James was stopped by United fans on his way into the training ground and signed the new home shirt for a waiting supporter.

He also posed for photographs before driving in to link up with his new teammates for the first time

Solskjaer is set to put his players through a gruelling pre-season schedule as he bids to improve on the poor end to last term.

The Sun reports United's players face double sessions ahead of their first match against Perth Glory next weekend.

United also face Leeds, Inter Milan and Tottenham before the start of the new campaign and Solskjaer wants his squad to be ready.

Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford are among a host of players yet to link up after their international involvement, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka is enjoying a break after the European Under-21 Championships.

Pogba remains in the States with his United future unclear after admitting he wants to leave the club.

Real Madrid and Juventus are both interested but Solskjaer expects the Frenchman to be part of his plans ahead of the new campaign.

The United boss had previously stated his plans to travel to Australia for the first of two pre-season matches with his strongest possible squad and Pogba is likely to be part of that, despite his wish to depart.
