Norwich City boss Daniel Farke believes his side did not win against Arsenal because of one Gunners star who he described as "world class".
The Gunners picked up a point in Freddie Ljungberg's first game as interim head coach, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scoring twice as Arsenal came from behind on two separate occasions against the struggling Canaries, after Teemu Pukki and Todd Cantwell had netted for the hosts.
But while Aubameyang's contribution was crucial for the Gunners in Norfolk, Ljungberg and Arsenal were indebted to some fine saves made by goalkeeper Bernd Leno to deny Norwich.
And the Canaries boss heaped praise on the German when analysing the game in his post-match press conference.
“We didn’t win because of missed chances and a world class Bernd Leno," the Norwich City boss said.
“He made top class saves.
"Arsenal have outstanding quality with [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang too.”
However, the Norwich boss was proud of his side's efforts against Arsenal, with the 19th-placed side causing problems for the Gunners in an open and exciting contest.
And Farke said he felt the Canaries were unfortunate not to claim all three points for just the fourth time this season.
“I’m proud of our performance it was top class," Farke said.
“We’re a bit disappointed because the performance deserved three points.”
