Daniel Ek has already hinted at his Arsenal vision amid takeover talks

Daniel Ek may not have a background in football but he has already hinted at what his philosophy will be at Arsenal should his proposed takeover go through.

The Swedish billionaire, who is the co-founder of Spotify, has teamed up with Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira and Dennis Bergkamp as he attempts to prise Arsenal away from Stan Kroenke.

Ek's Twitter announcement on Friday that he would be keen to buy Arsenal if Kroenke is looking to sell may have taken some by surprise, but the 38-year-old has often used the social media platform to discuss his love of the Gunners.

Perhaps his previous conversations about Arsenal could go some way to indicating the direction he would like the club to move in should his takeover be successful.

Asked in January 2018 about his ideal transfer window, Ek said he has learnt his lesson when it comes to hoping certain players walk through the door at the Emirates.

Instead, after stating he had been a fan of the Gunners since 1991, he revealed his pride in the Gunners comes from the youth system.

"I have had too much (sic) hopes been crushed to even dare to dream," he replied to a fan.

"The peace I have is from watching the 'homegrowns'."

It was a message that has since caused excitement among Gunners fans keen to see the club's youth system used.

In the same exchange, Ek revealed his fandom of the Gunners spawned when Anders Limpar played for the club.

Swedish midfielder Limpar joined Arsenal from Cremonese in 1990, going on to score 17 goals in 96 league appearances for the club before moving to Everton in 1994.
