Daniel Dubois destroys Kyotaro Fujimoto with second round KO to extend undefeated record

Daniel Dubois has extended his professional record to 14-0 after dismantling Kyotaro Fujimoto at the Copper Box Arena in London.

Dubois underlined his credentials as one of the most feared young fighters in heavyweight boxing with another devastating finish against Japan’s Fujimoto, taking his WBC silver belt.

After dropping his opponent with a stiff jab early in the second round, the 22-year-old ended the contest with a devastating right hook that left the Japanese fighter crumbled on the mat and needing oxygen.

Fujimoto made life easier for Dubois for the first knockdown, caught flat-footed as the jab caught him flush.

The finish was another showpiece from Dubois, however, dropping his opponent with the power and accuracy that has so many tipping him for greatness.

The Greenwich fighter has won nine titles in his 14-fight career and will now hope to force his way into the equation for world title honours in 2020.

Earlier this year, Dubois passed arguably the sternest test of his professional career with flying colours when he dismissed domestic rival Nathan Gorman in five rounds in July to win the British title.

He blasted out Ghana’s Ebenezer Tetteh inside one in September to secure the 12th KO win from his 13 fights, with American veteran Kevin Johnson the only man to force him to go the distance when they met back in 2018.
