Daniel Craig's father has died at the age of 77, local media has reported.
Tom Wroughton Craig was a businessman who lived near Owestry in Shrewsbury with his wife Kristy.
Cheshire Live reports that he died last week after suffering from liver cancer.
The paper adds that Kirsty, Daniel and the actor's half-brother Harry were all by Tim's bedside.
Actor Daniel is incredibly private and keeps his family life away from the press.
Tim previously told the Chronicle: "He doesn’t talk about me and I don’t talk about him, but naturally I am extremely proud of him as he is a very fine actor.”
Daniel's representative declined to give a statement when contacted by the paper.
The star is currently preparing for his fifth and final outing as James Bond.
The latest film, No Time to Die, is scheduled to arrive in cinemas in November, having become one of the first releases postponed due to the pandemic back in April.
