James Bond star Daniel Craig took time out to meet his fans after the latest film in the franchise No Time To Die took £5m on its first day of release.
The 53-year old actor signed autographs in New York outside the Whitby Hotel.
The actor, who starred in five instalments of the hit franchise, wore a long-sleeve tee and jeans as he wrote his signature with a chunky brown marker pen.
Daniel made sure he complied with Covid guidelines by wearing a white face mask.
The BBC reported takings for the first day of the film are 13% higher than 2015's Spectre but 26% below 2012's Skyfall, Universal Pictures said.
It was also the UK's "widest theatrical release of all time", they added.
No Time To Die opened in 772 cinemas in the UK and Ireland on Thursday.
This is 25 more than the previous record-holder - Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker, in 2019.
The movie sees Bond forced out of his retirement in Jamaica after a request for help from old CIA ally Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright).
This quest forces Bond to reunite with his former love Dr Madeleine Swann (Lea Seydoux) and his arch-nemesis Ernst Stavro Blofeld (Christoph Waltz).
Daniel Craig’s final outing as the world’s most famous spy is also the milestone 25th movie in the Bond series since Dr No premiered in 1962.
And after being pushed back three times from the original release date planned for April 2020 because of the pandemic, it’s finally set to appear on the big screen this Thursday.
