Daniel Arzani shows Celtic fans he's well on course for injury return in training video

Daniel Arzani looks to have lost none of the close control that has made him one of Australian football's hottest properties.

The Celtic loan star - who broke down just minutes into his Hoops debut back in October after tearing his ACL - has posted a video of his rehab back at parent club Manchester City online.

And going by the footage the 20-year-old is well on course to be fit for the start of the new season in August.

Arzani arrived at Parkhead last August immediately after sealing a move from Melbourne City to Manchester City.

A two-year loan deal was struck with the Hoops and the tricky forward was made to wait patiently for his first taste of top team action by then-manager Brendan Rodgers.

But when he did eventually appear, as a second half sub in a 5-0 trouncing of Dundee, disaster struck as Arzani ruptured his cruciate in an innocuous incident.

The winger was the youngest player at last summer's World Cup in Russia, making his arrival at Celtic Park something of a coup.

And Hoops fans will be hoping to see the best of the player in the new season. Aussie legend Ned Zelik said of Arzani: "If Daniel can keep playing the street football he's been playing without a care in the world he can go to the next level."
