Daniel Arzani 'set for move' as Celtic flop looks to get career back on track

Celtic flop Daniel Arzani is reportedly ready to continue his career in the Eredivisie.

The Australian international joined the Hoops on a two year loan from Manchester City in 2018 but his time in Scotland was marred by injury.

Arzani managed just two appearances in his loan spell, with just one coming in the Premiership after a devastating cruciate ligament rupture.

The 21-year-old was given a brief substitute appearance by Neil Lennon in the Scottish Cup win over Partick Thistle last season.

Now Australia's SBS is reporting that a deal is almost done for Arzani to join an unnamed Dutch club on another loan deal.

He's expected to take a medical on Tuesday before the deal is finalised later this week.

While he managed just one appearance last season, Arzani bears no ill-will toward Lennon.

He said in January: "Neil Lennon has been great with me. I've had a couple of chats with him. He's told me to keep working hard in training week in, week out and take any chances that come my way.

"I've been injured the whole time the manager has been here so I know I have a lot of work to do to earn an opportunity.

"Being unavailable has been a frustrating thing for me and I'm sure its been frustrating for him too.

"I'm just glad to be back and able to prove something to him."
