Daniel Arzani reveals Neil Lennon's vital Celtic role hint as he lifts lid on morale-boosting chats

Forgotten Celtic man Daniel Arzani has lifted the lid on his positive talks with boss Neil Lennon as he looks to bounce back from his injury hell.

The 21-year-old came off the bench against Partick Thistle earlier this month - his first competitive minutes since the serious knee injury he suffered against Dundee in his debut back in 2018.

Arzani is desperate to kick on for the remainder of the season as he aims to force himself into his manager's thinking.

The Australia international is entering the final six months of his two-year loan deal from Manchester City and he wants to make every minute count.

And the winger is aiming to impress Lennon in training as he targets more Celtic opportunities in the coming weeks. Arzani's path to the first team has also been boosted after the departures of Scott Sinclair and Lewis Morgan.

Speaking to the Celtic View, he said: "It's been an incredibly long time that I've been out, so it means the world to me to be back out on the pitch and doing what I love.

"I'm really happy with how I've progressed in the last couple of weeks.

"Neil Lennon has been great with me. I've had a couple of chats with him. He's told me to keep working hard in training week in, week out and take any chances that come my way.

"I've been injured the whole time the manager has been here so I know I have a lot of work to do to earn an opportunity.

"Being unavailable has been a frustrating thing for me and I'm sure its been frustrating for him too.

"I'm just glad to be back and able to prove something to him.

"I feel I have enough time to prove a point to him but I know I can't waste a second in training or a game.

"I need to be at my best every moment if I'm going to get a chance.

"All I can do now is play it by ear from now until the end of the season."
