Daniel Arzani grabs Celtic goal as Hoops face Middlesbrough in closed-doors clash

Celtic outcast Daniel Arzani scored for a Hoops reserve team in a closed doors friendly with Middlesbrough.

A young Hoops side travelled to England to take on the Championship side and drew 1-1 with Arzani grabbing Celtic's goal.

That gave Celtic the lead before Tyrone O'Neill netted from the penalty spot before a second spot kick was saved.

Arzani has only played once for the Hoops this season when he made a late substitute in the Scottish Cup win over Partick Thistle.

The Australian is on loan from Manchester City and suffered a bad knee injury on his debut against Dundee last season.

He returned to fitness at the start of this campaign but has been unable to get back into Neil Lennon's plans.

Middlesbrough's team fielded a number of first team players with George Friend and Ryan Shotton returning from injury and January signing Dejan Stojanovic all involved.
