Dani Dyer has turned to self-help books as she continues to rebuild her life following the jailing of ex-boyfriend Sammy Kimmence.
The 25-year-old mum-of-one was left to raise her child alone earlier this year after Sammy was thrown in jail for three and a half years after he admitted his guilt to defrauding OAPs out of £34,000.
Dani is said to be balancing her work life with being a single mum – while also opening herself up to some romance with a fledgling relationship with 24-year-old West Ham footballer Jarrod Bowen.
And according to friends, Dani is gaining extra support as she rebuilds her life as she is reading the 2006 self-help book The Secret by Rhonda Byrne – which tells readers to utilise the power of positive thinking to achieve their life’s ambitions.
A source told new! magazine: “Dani is feeling really positive. She’s really into all the self-help stuff and reading those kind of books.
“She’s started following The Secret to help keep her motivated and uplifted because it has been a really difficult time for her.”
And it sounds like Dani is having a ‘positive’ experience with her new boyfriend.
The source says: “Things with Jarrod are going well, but she doesn’t want to make any mistakes.
“She’s so adamant that the next guy she gets with will be the right one. She doesn’t want to put her family through anything else. And she doesn’t want to put Santi through anything. She wants him to have the best future.”
The source also carries a warning, however – saying that Dani will dump Jarrod at the first sign of even “a little red flag” as she is so burned from her failed romance with Sammy.
Dani recently confessed she would never be rid of Sammy in her life as he is the father of her child.
Speaking with her father, EastEnders star Danny Dyer, on their shared podcast, Sorted With The Dyers, the former Love Island contestant said: Obviously I will always have a relationship with Santi’s dad – it’s very different when you have children.
“You’re tied together by blood and you’re always going to have a relationship there. But there’s still a line.
“Why would you want to be friends with an ex? You want to move on with your life. You split up for a reason. I feel like if you’ve split up with someone, just leave it.”
Sammy, 25, was jailed in July after scamming two elderly men out of almost £34,000 by posing as a financial investor.
While Dani had kept silent during Sammy’s court case, reports emerged soon after he was sentenced to 42 months behind bars that she had ended their relationship.
The pair – who had dated before Dani appeared on Love Island in 2018 and reunited soon after she featured on the ITV2 series – welcomed their son in January this year.
And in September, Dani vowed she won’t take her son to visit his father in jail as she fears the “scary and toxic” environment would be detrimental to him.
