Dani Dyer breaks silence on her split from Jack Fincham and how she feels about him now

Dani Dyer has been reflecting on her past relationships, in particular her romance with fellow Love Island winner Jack Fincham.

Chatting with dad Danny Dyer on the latest episode of their podcast, the mum-of-one revealed she has no hard feeling towards her ex-boyfriend since the former couple went their separate ways three years ago.

Dani, 25, admitted during the revealing chat that she always thinks of the "great time" the pair had together before calling it quits.

Dani and Jack found love with each other during the fourth season of Love Island in 2018, where they coupled up and won the show – but split nine-months later in April 2019.

Both stars quickly moved on, going on to welcome children into the world with new partners, but chatting with her dad on Wednesday's show, Dani revealed the pair are still on good terms.

As the father-and-daughter duo discussed a listener's problem related to a relationship ending, the two stars mused whether you can still be friends with a former lover.

"Sometimes you can break up with someone and it ain't just because you don't love them anymore - you need to do what's right for you, I personally think," Dani stated on the latest installment of their Spotify series, Sorted with the Dyers.

"I feel like every relationship break up is different. Every break up I've had has always been very different, do you know what I'm saying?"

Dani - who is now loved up with West Ham player Jarrod Bowen - then went on to discuss the end of her first ever relationship, before she moved on to discussing her first ever break up in the public eye.

"Do you think, once you do fall in love with someone, do you think you ever fall out of love? Do you always have a bit of love somewhere?" Danny asked his daughter as they tried to help a fan with their dilemma.

Jack and Dani announced their split on Instagram, saying 'sometimes things aren't meant to be' (PA)

"You know what, I think you've always got that something with someone," the former Love Island champion began her response.

"I think if you spent so much time with someone and you know, for years or anything, you'll always have that something."

"Not necessarily love but I feel like... like Jack for instance - Love Island Jack. Me and him, we're fine. And not that I necessarily love him but I always think: 'We had a great time together'."

She added: "I feel like there's memories with someone. I genuinely think when you fall in love with someone else, then you're over it.

"That's an exception to the rule," dad Danny chimed in with.

"You were on telly with him!"

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Dani agreed, before returning to the original discussion about her first ever boyfriend and the listener's initial problem.

The former Love Island star is currently in a relationship with footballer Jarrod Brown - someone dad Danny dubbed a "very, very important person" during their podcast chat.

The sports star, 25, is the reality TV's star's first public romance since splitting from jailbird ex Sammy Kimmence - who is the father of her son Santiago, one.

Speaking previously, Dani has admitted West Ham fan Danny approves of her new relationship.

"He's invested in all of the West Ham players – because he supports the team and follows some of them," the mum-of-one explained last year.

She added to The Sun : "He's like: 'They're all my friends'. I'm like: 'Right, OK, Dad'.
