Dani Dyer lashes out at mummy shaming trolls who criticise her parenting skills

New mum Dani Dyer has hit out at "rude and unhelpful" mum-shaming trolls who share judgemental comments about her parenting.

The former Love Island winner, 24, welcomed baby Santiago in January with boyfriend Sammy Kimmence.

She shares regular updates on her life as a first time parent on social media and on the Sorted With The Dyers podcast she hosts with famous dad Danny.

And while Dani says some commenters offer helpful advice, others are needlessly rude.

Appearing on the Made By Mammas podcast with Zoe Hardman and Georgia Dayton, she reflected on her experience with trolls and how to deal with them.

"I don't think anyone can ever teach you," Dani remarked.

"Some people are like 'oh I bet you're used to it because your dad was in the public eye', but I was like 'no, because the comments were never directed towards me'.

"My dad would get trolling and all negative [stuff] but because it wasn't me I thought all that stuff was bizarre.

"When it's your dad it's pathetic what they're saying but when it's actually you it hurts."

She added: "Now, as a mother, you do get messages from women that aren't helpful, they're not supportive and they say things that you think I don't really need this right now.

"Sometimes they can be helpful saying 'my baby did this', or 'I did that', but when they're just really rude it's not helpful.

"I remember putting him in a coat and I took him on a little walk, I thought oh he looks cute let me take a picture of him in the car seat while he's sleeping, and I had messages off women saying 'you're going to make him suffocate, he's going to overheat in the car. If you have a car crash he's not going to be safe, he's not going to be protected in a car crash'.

"I thought oh my god why are you even saying that to me? Chill out! I've had a lot of that."

And proud mum Dani has already put thought into Santi's future - including his career.

"I literally love our morning cuddles together," she said filming herself and Santi for an Instagram video, "I'm watching Billy Elliot and I just think… Imagine if he was Billy Elliot on the stage?

"I'd love it, I'd love him to be in the West End performing. “I don't know why I'm thinking about his career path, it's literally years, years, years away. I'm just excited for it."
