Dani Dyer inspired by own pregnancy for EastEnders labour scenes with dad Danny

Dani Dyer has revealed all on her upcoming EastEnders cameo, and how she used her real-life pregnancy for inspiration when filming some dramatic scenes.

The Love Island star filmed alongside her real-life dad Danny Dyer for the scenes, with him playing Mick Carter on the BBC soap.

Dani plays pregnant cab driver Jeanette, who goes into labour while driving Mick to the hospital for wife Linda's baby scan.

But things turn chaotic when her waters suddenly break, and Mick is forced to take the wheel to get her there in time.

Now, Dani has discussed the cameo and how she recalled her own pregnancy for the scenes.

Dani welcomed her baby son Santiago in January with partner Sammy Kimmence, and the actress confessed she used her pregnancy as inspiration for the episode that will air on Monday June 14.

She said when asked if she took inspiration from her own experiences: "Yes I did! To be honest, I started looking at YouTube first to see how pregnant women act and then I realised I’ve been pregnant so I was better off relating to myself!

"I absolutely loved being pregnant, so it was mad having a bump back on and it made me miss my bump even more!"

On filming the scenes with her dad, she went on: "Filming was so much fun! I was so nervous as I haven’t done acting in a while!

"But they made me feel so relaxed and I absolutely loved the director he was brilliant and really gave me some good advice."

She added: "Yes we have acted together before but this was definitely a lot more than what we’ve done in the past and it was brilliant.

"I really love working with my dad he really does make work easy with whatever we do together."

The scenes come amid drama for Mick, who recently learned his wife Linda was pregnant with another man's child.

Linda fell pregnant after a brief romance with Max Branning, but will the bombshell split the couple apart or can they find a way through?

EatEnders airs Mondays and Fridays at 8pm, and Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One.
