Dani Dyer faces police visit to recoup jailed ex Sammy Kimmence's stolen cash

Dani Dyer is facing a visit from the police who will be trying to recoup the money that her ex-boyfriend conned out of two pensioners.

Sammy Kimmence was sentenced to 3.5 years in jail for scamming two elderly men, Peter Martin, 91, and Peter Haynes, 81, out of almost £34,000.

It's since been reported that Dani broke up with Sammy, with whom she shares a seven-month-old son called Santiago, after he reportedly downplayed his crimes to her.

And detectives trained in financial forensics will soon visit the former couple's home to make an inventory of his assets in a bid to raise the cash he conned out of his victims.

These detectives have the power to take items like cars, watches, jewellery and designer clothes, which can be auctioned off to raise back the money.

A confiscation hearing will reportedly be heard next month when Kimmence's legal team must provide details of how he intends to pay back his victims.

A source told The Sun: "He will be facing even more jail time if there's evidence that assets have been hidden or sold since he was arrested with the intention of preserving their value for his own ends.

"He has intimated in the past that he wishes to pay back the money he stole but if the court is not satisfied with how and when this will be done, the police will be instructed to make a visit to his home with the intention of seizing assets."

The Mirror has contacted a rep for Dani Dyer and is currently awaiting comment.

Dani is yet to comment publicly on her ex's crimes.

Sammy wept in the dock of Portsmouth Crown Court last Wednesday as he was jailed for 42 months after scamming the two elderly men out of thousands.

He duped his victims by persuading themto let him to invest their money for them and then spent it on expensive restaurants, hotels and clothes.

Kimmence, who had denied all the charges before a last minute change of plea, was sent to prison for five counts of fraud, totalling £33,919.

Judge Timothy Mousley QC handed him 30 months imprisonment for his duping of Mr Martin and 12 months for the fraud against Mr Haynes.

Kimmence must serve at least half of his sentence.

Standing in the dock, Kimmence, dressed in a black suit, spoke only to confirm his name before sobbing during the hearing as his dishonesty was outlined.

The judge said: "You defrauded two men of significant sums of money, both were elderly gentlemen, neither was a wealthy man.

"Whilst these men trusted you, you used their money to fund your lifestyle.

"This was a significant abuse of trust."
