Dani Dyer could return to Strictly Come Dancing this year after an ankle injury forced her to pull out of last year’s competition.
The 29-year-old TV personality and daughter of Rivals star Danny Dyer, broke her ankle in the 2025 series and had to pull out before the first week of the competition started.
Sources say Dani was “gutted” to have quit Strictly, but could return to the show this year, according to The Sun.
“She never got a chance to do a single show or a dance for the judges so when the door was opened for her again by the BBC she jumped at the chance,” a source told the newspaper.
“Dani hasn’t signed her contract yet but she’s clearing her diary and has told the BBC she wants in.”
The TV personality, who was partnered with professional Nikita Kuzmin, said she “landed funny” while training for the show.
"To say I'm heartbroken is the biggest understatement," she said in a statement last year.
"I thought I had rolled my foot but it swelled up badly over the weekend and after an MRI scan yesterday, it turns out I have fractured my ankle.
"Apparently doing the quickstep on a fracture is not advisable (!!) and the doctors have said I am not allowed to dance so l've had to pull out of the show."
Game of Thrones actor Kristian Nairn was also forced to pull out of the competition last year on medical grounds.
