Dani Dyer admits pregnancy was a 'shock' and says baby has turned her dad into a softie

New mum Dani Dyer has revealed that falling pregnant with baby Santiago came as a 'shock'.

The reality star, 24, gave birth to a son in January with boyfriend Sammy Kimmence - but says they 'didn't plan' on having a baby.

Nevertheless, the couple are enjoying being first-time parents and Dani has admitted her famous dad gets 'so emotional' around their little one.

She told OK! magazine about the moment she found out she was expecting, saying: "We didn't plan it. It was more a case of if I fall pregnant then that's fine, so it was a shock really.

"I remember Sammy was downstairs playing FIFA while I was upstairs and I just thought I'd take a pregnancy test."

She added: "I remember going, 'Babe I'm pregnant!' He just looked at me like, 'Really?!' with the control still in his hand."

Dani added that her beloved father, Danny Dyer, gets 'emotional' around Santiago.

"The other day he was nearly crying like, 'I love babies and that, but your baby... I've never felt anything like this'," Dani explained. "Santi's his first grandchild and I feel like that's hit him more after the birth."

The TV star also said she's been maternal since around age 16 and always wanted to have a baby while young.

The reality star also added that her mum Joanne Mas is 'obsessed with him'.

Dani first announced she was pregnant back in July 2020.

The former Love Island star has adapted to motherhood well and seems to be sharing honest life updates with her fans.

She's been posting everything on social media - from breastfeeding struggles to post-pregnancy weight loss.
