Dani Ceballos transfer talks between Tottenham and Real Madrid "very advanced"

Tottenham are reportedly looking to continue their summer spending and have set their sights on securing a deal for Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid , according to Sport Witness .

The 22-year-old was a stand out performer for Spain at the Under-21 European Championships, raising questions about Zinedine Zidane 's rating of the player.

Ceballos feels there is a future for him at Madrid and would be keen on a loan move to North London, something Mauricio Pochettino has supposedly agreed to.

Spanish outlet, Estadio Deportivo , reported that Spurs have been locked in talks for the past month as they attempt to reach an agreement for Ceballos ahead of next season.

Ceballos joined Madrid from Real Betis in July 2017. He has made 100 appearances in the Spanish top-flight and has earned six caps for the national team.

Negotiations between Tottenham and Madrid have been described as being 'very advanced' and 'everything points' to the Spaniard trading La Liga for the Premier League, say Sport Witness .

Reports in Spain are claiming that Tottenham have the upper hand regarding Ceballos, only time will tell if they can get the deal over the line ahead of the 19/20 campaign.

The club have already shown they mean business with some big spending this transfer window, plus some savvy investment in rising stars on home soil.

Tanguy Ndombele joined from Lyon for a fee which could rise to £70 million, alongside Jack Clarke from Leeds United who has been loaned back to Yorkshire for the upcoming season.

Ceballos would be Spurs third signing of the summer should they get the deal completed, as Pochettino looks to shape the team in preparation for pre-season.

Tottenham kick-off their Premier League campaign when they welcome newly-promoted Aston Villa to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on August 10th, with kick-off at 17.30.
