Dani Ceballos transfer stance revealed amid Arsenal and Tottenham links

Dani Ceballos is not giving up on his Real Madrid career just yet but is reportedly open to a loan switch this summer.

The 22-year-old midfielder is weighing up his future at the Bernabeu after two frustrating seasons since his move from Real Betis.

He managed just 13 La Liga starts last term and Zinedine Zidane's return as manager has further increased the likelihood that his long-term future may best be suited elsewhere.

However, according to Marca , Ceballos still has ambitions to succeed at the Spanish giants and will not push for a permanent switch ahead of the new season.

It is claimed that although he accepts he'll have to leave this summer in search of regular first-team football, his preference would be to make a season-long loan move.

The midfielder's current Madrid contract runs until the summer of 2023 and he is hopeful that a season away from Madrid will remind the club why they signed him in the first place.

Ceballos has recently been catching the eye with some impressive performances for Spain Under-21s at the European Championship.

Tottenham have been interested in the youngster for some time with Real demanding at least £45million before they even begin negotiations, with a repurchase option also likely to be included.

And it was recently claimed Arsenal have now joined the race to sign Ceballos and would be willing to meet Real's asking price.

The Gunners have a transfer budget of just £40m this summer and will have to sell their own stars before making any move.

The likes of Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan can go for the right offer while Unai Emery will also listen to bids for Laurent Koscielny, Nacho Monreal and Shkodran Mustafi.

Arsenal failed to secure Champions League football for the forthcoming campaign and whether they'll be able to persuade Ceballo to make the switch remains to be seen.
