Dani Ceballos' 'secret meeting' with Real Madrid chief positive news for Arsenal over his future

Arsenal's on-loan star Dani Ceballos has reportedly held a secret meeting with Real Madrid chiefs over a potential exit from the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 23-year-old has reportedly told Real president Florentino Perez that he is willing to leave the club in January, and has asked the club to try to come to an agreement with Arsenal over a permanent move.

According to El Desmarque, Ceballos is prioritising a move to Arsenal due to his relationship with Unai Emery.

The midfielder is said to be comfortable with the Gunners boss and enjoys the trust that Emery places in him.

Ceballos is said to have asked Real to try and get his future sorted as soon as possible, and is hoping the Spanish side can set a meeting with the Premier League club over a potential transfer in the winter transfer window.

With no option to buy included in the Spain international's loan deal, negotiations could be complicated.

Real are said to be hoping to recoup over €40million for the midfielder after buying him for €14m from Real Betis in 2017.

However, a bid of around €35m could be enough to convince Perez to agree to a deal, according to the Spanish publication.
