Dani Ceballos reveals Arsenal confidence ahead of Man City clash in Premier League re-start

Arsenal feel that they are facing Manchester City at the right time, as the two sides continue preparations for their clash at the Etihad next week.

The Premier League has been suspended since March, but fixtures will resume next Wednesday as Aston Villa face Sheffield United and City host Arsenal.

While City know it is a matter of time before Liverpool clinch the Premier League title, Arsenal have far more to play for as they sit five points and four places behind the last spot for European qualification - although the game against City is their game in hand on fifth-placed Manchester United.

So the Gunners will be fired up when they travel to the Etihad, and midfielder Dani Ceballos has revealed the confidence in the Arsenal squad ahead of the game.

He told Canal Sur Radio: "It's not bad at all [to start] against City. I think it is a good time to face them and I think we have options to win."

Ceballos also said he expects Liverpool to secure the two wins they need to be crowned champions and take City's title off them.

If Arsenal were to beat City, then Liverpool would need just one win to secure the title, and could do so against Merseyside rivals Everton in their first game back in action.

"The Premier League is quite clear, I think Liverpool are going to be champions," he said.

"They need to win two or three of the nine [games] remaining and at the rate they lead could be declared the champions in the coming weeks."
