Dani Ceballos could be returning to Arsenal for the 2020/21 season, according to latest reports.
The midfielder impressed during a loan spell from Real Madrid in the season just gone, becoming a key player in Mikel Arteta’s improving team.
Ceballos has since been back in training with the Spanish side and was shown in pictures taking part in a two-hour-long session with the club.
However, as reported by Fabrizio Romano , the midfielder could soon be back with his Arsenal teammates.
The transfer expert claims that advanced talks are taking place between the two clubs over another loan for Ceballos at the Emirates Stadium, with Mikel Arteta calling the player to convince him to return.
An agreement between the clubs is expected, and Ceballos himself has given a hint that something could be on the offing soon.
Posting on his Instagram stories , posting a picture of a moving clock, with some fans taking the post as a hint he will be returning soon.
Ceballos played a total of 37 games in all competitions for Arsenal during 2019/20, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
Speaking about Ceballos last week, Mikel Arteta was clear about his intentions for the player.
"Well, we have some talks and Dani knows really well what I think about him," he said .
He was pretty clear with me as well that his intention was to remain with us but obviously Real Madrid is involved and I don’t know yet what they want to do with the player.
"But he’s a player that we are interested in because we really saw, in the last few months of the season, what he is capable of bringing to us."
