Dani Ceballos posts social media message after Arsenal flare-up with Eddie Nketiah

Dani Ceballos has moved quickly to dismiss any talk of a rift between himself and Arsenal teammate Eddie Nketiah.

Ceballos and Nketiah were both named among the substitutes for their Premier League opener away to Fulham this afternoon.

The Spaniard, who re-joined on another season-long loan from Real Madrid, was perhaps a surprise omission from the starting 11, with Mohamed Elneny getting the nod in the middle.

And it seems both Ceballos and Nketiah weren’t too happy about not starting, as tensions appeared to boil over in the warm-up.

As picked up by the BT Sport cameras, the England Under-21 international flew into the Spaniard, who didn’t take too kindly to the attempted challenge and hit out by pushing the striker in the chest.

Things almost escalated even further as the pair squared up to each other before the rest of the Arsenal substitutes intervened.

But Ceballos was quick to dismiss any talk of bad feeling between the pair, taking to Instagram after the 3-0 victory to post a picture of himself with Nketiah.

The photo, which has the pair in and Nketiah giving a thumbs up, has the caption: “No problems here.

“My brother @eddienketiah”

Mikel Arteta’s men got off to the perfect start in their 2020/21 Premier League campaign at Craven Cottage, which Alexandre Lacazette, Gabriel Magalhaes and Pierre-Emerick Aubamaeyang sealing a routine win.
