Dani Ceballos makes another Real Madrid transfer admission - and it's not good news for Arsenal

Dani Ceballos appears to have distanced himself from a permanent move to Arsenal.

The Real Madrid loanee appeared to have previously indicated that he would be keen to make his move to north London full time.

Ceballos has caught the eye in the opening eight games of the Premier League season, adding some much-needed guile and quality to the Gunners' midfield.

That has left fans hopeful he will extend his stay at the Emirates due to his increased level of first-team action.

Whilst Ceballos has admitted he is enjoying his football under Unai Emery, he has clarified comments that he is looking to leave Real Madrid permanently.

He told Radio MARCA: "[What I meant to say, was] When I do not play, I don't enjoy myself. I have learnt a lot in these two years at Real Madrid, but now I am enjoying [my football].

"I knew that it was an important year, the coach [for Spain, Robert Moreno] has doubts and the one who doesn't play isn't going to be called up; it was a good time to go out on loan.

"With [Unai] Emery's confidence, I may have a chance of going to the Euros."

Since joining in the summer, Ceballos has appeared in all eight of Arsenal's Premier League fixtures.

His creativity and passing range from the centre of the park have drawn comparisons to Santi Cazorla and Cesc Fabregas, albeit he has a long way to go to surpass those club legends.

Ceballos has admitted he had to find regular football this season if he was to have any hope of securing a spot in the Spanish national team's EURO2020 squad in the summer.

"Right now I am where I want to be and I am very happy. My idea was to go out, play and enjoy football. In the previous two years I had not done so," he added.

"In this national team, there is no one indisputable. I am very happy with the trust that has been placed in me.

"Our goal is to reach the European Championship in the best possible conditions.

"We have a team with a lot of room for improvement. We work side by side to show the level we want in the European Championship."
