Dani Ceballos delivers Gareth Bale verdict to excite Tottenham fans

No matter what, you can almost always be sure there will be Gareth Bale to Tottenham rumours in any given transfer window.

Bale was loved at White Hart Lane and his scintillating rise to super stardom earned him a then world-record move to Real Madrid in 2013.

Things started really well for the Welshman in the Spanish capital and he has justified the move with trophies galore, winning the Champions League no fewer than four times, having a huge impact in two of the finals.

But over time the relationship between Bale, head coach Zinedine Zidane and the Madrid fans has become strained.

The frontman was criticised in the media and by the fanbase after showing off a Welsh flag following a win on international duty that read: "Wales. Golf. Madrid. In that order."

Bale was tipped to move away from the Bernabeu to the Chinese Super League last summer, but a deal was scrapped at the 11th hour.

He will always be linked with a return to the Premier League, with Manchester United previously interested, while Spurs will continue to be a potential return destination, despite the fact his astronomical wages put the north Londoners out of contention for any future move.

And an Arsenal player has stoked up the fires ahead of the summer transfer window.

Real Madrid star Dani Ceballos, on loan with Spurs' fierce north London rivals, believes Bale is best suited to life in the Premier League.

Speaking to Deportes Cuatro, he said: "[The Premier League] is a league that suits him quite well, but he's an important player for Real Madrid.

"Let's not forget everything he has given the club. Whoever does not trust him has to put on the Champions League finals. He has given enough to the club."
