Dani Ceballos says Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is comparable to Cristiano Ronaldo when he was in his pomp at Real Madrid.
Gunners boss Unai Emery pulled off a coup loaning in the Spanish midfielder from Los Blancos this summer, with Ceballos instantly settling in and improving Arsenal's midfield.
Emery named Ceballos on the bench in Arsenal's clash with Tottenham in the north London derby, in which Spurs stormed into a two-goal lead.
After the break the Real Madrid man was substituted on and made an instant positive impact, with the Gunners battling back to draw 2-2.
Emery will likely be doing all he can to sign Ceballos permanently in the summer as he is still yet to find a place for Mesut Ozil in his team.
But Madrid will no doubt want to keep hold of the midfielder given their current lack of quality in this position.
Ceballos spoke out about his new Arsenal team-mates in a recent interview with The Guardian, and was full of praise for two stars.
"We've got a very good, compact side and the three up front really make the difference," said Ceballos.
"You can compare [Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang to Cristiano [Ronaldo] when he was at Madrid in the sense that he plays close to the goal he lives for scoring.
"He's very important for us, fundamental. [Nicolas] Pepe is very direct. And [Alexandre] Lacazette, for me, is the best player: he understands the game perfectly and, if he's 100 per cent, he's going to give us so much."
