Dani Alves issues come get me plea on Instagram amid Man City transfer interest

Veteran defender Dani Alves has issued a come and get me plea on Instagram as he continues to look for a new club, amid rumoured interest from Man City.

Alves was released by Paris Saint-Germain this summer after two years with the French champions but even at 36 he still has plenty to offer.

He captained Brazil to their first trophy since 2007 in this summer's Copa America and was also named as the player of the tournament, but even so he remains without a club with the domestic season only a few weeks away.

City themselves have been chasing a new right-back all summer, with Juventus' Joao Cancelo being the number one target but negotiations have appeared to have frozen over the deal due the price and Danilo being unable to find a new club.

As a result City have been linked with Alves as he would be a much cheaper alternative to Cancelo and would offer him a chance to work with Pep Guardiola again, after the pair enjoyed much success at Barcelona.

Premier League rivals Arsenal and Tottenham have also been linked with a move and a return to Catalonia has been touted but with nothing turning concrete as of yet Alves has decided to take a pro-active approach.

The Brazilian took to Instagram asking where he could apply for a new club.

He posted: "Busco emprego, onde coloco meu currículo? Alguém me avisa aí se tem tempo de ler!!"

Which translates from Portuguese to: "Looking for a job, where do I put my resume? Someone let me know if you have time to read!!"

The plea comes just a day after Pep Guardiola left the door open for Alves to finally play in the Premier League, two years after snubbing City at the last moment to join PSG.

"We know, as all the important clubs know, about his situation," the Blues boss said.

"He is an incredible player and an extraordinary person - but we have two incredible full-backs so it is what it is."
