A forecast of severe thunderstorms and a sudden downpour postponed acts Saturday for more than an hour at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Union Park.

Concert-goers were told to leave the park about 5 p.m. following weather alerts for a fast-moving storm, according to the festival’s official Twitter account.

Attendees were urged to seek shelter at businesses on Randolph Street.

Festival officials announced the gates would re-open about 6:30 p.m. and the show would go on.

Gates will open in 5 minutes. You can enter at the main gate on Ashland, Ogden/Washington, or at Ashland/Washington. Music will resume as soon as possible with Stereolab and Freddie Gibbs and then will continue as previously scheduled.
