From placing coins in iPhone chargers to purposefully tripping their friends, teens have taken part in a range of bizarre trends on TikTok in recent weeks.
But the latest popular trend, dubbed the ‘Cha-Cha Slide’ trend, is arguably one of the most dangerous yet.
The trend sees teens swerving their cars in time to the popular song ‘Cha Cha Slide.’
In the song, by Mr C, the lyrics say: “Slide to the left. Slide to the right. Criss Cross.”
Terrifyingly, in time with these lyrics, the teens swerve their car to the left, then the right, before rapidly swerving left to right for the ‘criss-cross’ lyric.

TikTok user Angel De La Cruz posted a video of him and his friends trying the challenge, writing: “The car almost flipped.”
Meanwhile, TikTok user Giovanni captioned his video: “CHA CHA SLIDE should not be done in the car.”
TikTok has added a warning message to some of the videos, that states 'The action in this video could result in serious injury.'
However, many of the videos are yet to have the warning added, despite having been up for several days.
The dangerous trend comes shortly after a young driver was killed while filming a dangerous swerving video on Snapchat.

Shania McNeill, 21, was filmed on Snapchat while singing and posing at the wheel as she swerved on the wrong side of the road in her Suzuki Baleno in April.
She died after crashing into a Nissan Micra at a junction in Sydney, Australia.
Five others were injured in the collision, including her two friends Hazel Wildman and Faeda Hunter, who were in the car with her.
