A dangerous driver was arrested after forcing gardai on a chase around south Dublin in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
A man, 31, led patrol cars and a helicopter on the chase shortly after midnight on the Kilakee Road in Rathfarnham.
The driver was followed for a short time by gardai before he was caught, arrested and brought to Tallaght Garda Station.
A spokeswoman for Gardaí confirmed they "responded to an incident of dangerous driving that occurred this morning 4 December, at approximately 12.50am on the Kilakee Road, Rathfarnham".
She added: "A short pursuit ensued and following its conclusion, a male driver (aged 31) was arrested and conveyed to Tallaght Garda station."
